The Power of Togetherness Gala, brought together global leaders and partners to celebrate teamwork and social impact. The evening featured remarks from the 8th UN Secretary General - Ban Ki-moon, Mary Robinson, and Joseph Stiglitz, honored Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan and Karunodaya Foundation with the Ban Ki-moon Power of Partnerships Award, which gave us a memorable night of entertainment and networking.
More on our honorees:
Mary Robinson served as President of Ireland from 1990-1997 and UN
High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002. She is now a
member of The Elders, a co-founder of Project Dandelion, which is a
women-led global campaign for climate justice, and an Adjunct Professor
for Climate Justice at Trinity College Dublin.
Joseph E. Stiglitz is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics
in 2001. He is a professor at Columbia University, Founder and Co-
President of the Initiative for Policy Dialogue, and the Chief Economist of
the Roosevelt Institute. He is a former Senior Vice President and Chief
Economist of the World Bank and the author of numerous books, including,
most recently, The Road to Freedom: Economics and the Good Society.
Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan is being recognized for its exceptional efforts in
watershed development, water management, and community empowerment.
Your strong focus on women's participation in development projects further
amplifies the transformative power of inclusive action.
The Karunodaya Foundation is being recognized for its remarkable efforts in
creating sustainable and innovative learning environments for children. Your
mission to transform schools into inclusive spaces—where every child excels in
fundamental and foundational skills while cultivating compassion and essential
life skills—beautifully reflects the spirit of this award.
