Asia Initiatives, with support from the Women’s Rehabilitation Group in New Jersey, launched bicycle banks to address the lack of access to public transport.

Organic Floriculture Businesses for Women
As part of our push for women economic empowerment, Asia Initiatives has partnered with the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) to help farmers start floriculture businesses.

Water Conservation for Water Security
Working with tribal and rural farmers and families, SoCCs are implemented to enhance livelihoods and ensure food security, whilst conserving and sharing water amongst the Tamil Nadu community.

Waste Management for Community Health
In 2015, we partnered with the Alice Visionary Foundation Project (AVFP) and WomenStrong International (WSI) to incentivize individuals in the Manyatta neighborhood of Kisumu to perform social services through the SoCCs program.

Water Conservation for Agriculture
Asia Initiatives has partnered with Save Indian Farmers to support water conservation activities in six villages in the Beed district of Marathwada, Maharashtra, India.

Tree Planting in Doon Valley
Students from 25 schools have participated to plant over 8,000 trees in the Doon Valley, a lush ecosystem in the lower Himalayas.

Cascade of Upskilling: System of Rice Intensification
Women are earning SoCCs for establishing bird perches in their rice fields and home-made sticky traps for natural pest control, install structures to reduce firewood use in their kitchen, construct vanarai bunds to reduce water run-off and plant native trees in their farmlands.

Organic Farming In Yavatmal
The program empowers underserved women with low-cost organic farming techniques to ensure they do not end up in an inescapable debt cycle.
